Sector 9 Mini Shaka

Sector 9 Mini Shaka Longboard Review

Freeride: 8/10
Downhill: 7/10
Freestyle: 7/10

The Sector 9 Mini Shaka is a great board for it's price. The deck isn't too special, just the regular double kick freeride shape. Let's go into some details about the features.

Concave: The concave and rocker on the Mini Shaka is a little bit mellow and pretty basic. It is really comfortable but it may not feel like it locks you in enough while doing any faster riding. This can be fixed by adding some gnarly griptape. You can also add some sweet 3D concave really easily to meet your concave needs.

Kicktails: The kicktails on the Sector 9 Mini Shaka are pretty small and basic. They are not oversized and are pretty durable. They aren't the best for freestyle but you can still use them to pop up and down curbs and things like that.

Overall the Mini Shaka is cheap and great for beginners. It is definitely an all around board.

  4. Sector 9 Mini Shaka, I am truly interested in riding this. Though I have electric skateboard for now. But very soon I will have enough money to buy a longboard. Does it require any special technique to ride other than an electric skateboard?
